Newborn Sessions

When you hire a photographer, you are not just hiring someone to take photos of you and your family. You are hiring someone to capture those moments that are gone too soon and create long lasting memories that you will never forget. Newborns are only so little for a limited amount of time. Capture those moments so that you may have fond memories to look back on those tiny hands and toes.

Newborn Session Tips & Tricks

You have full access to the props, wraps, headbands/bonnets and outfits (optional) for your newborn that I offer at my studio located in Shavertown, PA. With all of those details taken care of, here are a few things that you can do to prepare yourself and your little one for their Newborn Session.

1. Schedule your session ahead of time: The best time to book your newborn session is in your second trimester. I only take a limited number of newborns each month due to their spontaneous and unpredictable arrival times. I hate having to turn new moms and dads away so please reach out as soon as you are ready to begin discussing what a newborn session with LBP is like.
2. Reach out within 72 hours of birth: Photos are best done in the first 7-21 days. Please reach out as soon as you are able so that we can schedule a date for your session within this timeframe. In the event you are unable to have your photos done in this timeframe, reach out anyway so that we can discuss next steps. Newborn photos can be done after 21 days, but it is best if they are done before that.
3. Read the Prep Guide: I provide a very detailed prep guide to help you prepare for your newborn session whether it be in studio or lifestyle. This will help ensure a smooth session so that we may capture your precious little babe while they are nice and sleepy. Read the studio prep guide here.
4. Let me know ahead of time if there is anything special you would like to include: While I provide all props, wraps, headbands, bonnets, and outfits, if you want to provide something for your sessions, you are more than welcome to do so. Please let me know in advance so that I can plan accordingly.
5. Relax and enjoy: Being a new parent is exhausting. Sit back, relax, and watch as I pose and take beautiful photos of your little one.
